Azurite is also known as Armenite, Azure Copper Ore, Blue Carbonate of Copper, Blue Malachite, Blue Spar, Chessy copper, CHessylite, Lasur, Lasurite. Azurite historically was used for a blue pigment and jewelry gemstones. Metaphysically believed to have healing properties, believed to open communication to higher powers, including clairvoyance and spirit guides. Azurite honors the Goddess Athena in Greek mythology, and seen as the stone of heaven in Chinese Mythology.
