The leaves, bark, and buds are often used medicinally in folk culture for kidney stones, urinary tract infections, bladder stones, and joint pain. There is no scientific evidence. Some experts warn birch will interfere with body’s responses against COVID-19 so is not recommended to use during the pandemic. It is not on the FDA list of approved uses internally.
