also known as Calamina, Calamine, Electric Calamine, Kieselgalmei, Kieselgalmey, Smithsonite of Brooke and Miller, Wagite. Orthorhombic, Zn4Si2O7(OH)2-H2O. Considered a stone of transformation as it helps one to overcome sorrows while changing those feelings to empathy for others. During meditation, placed on the Heart, Throat, and Third Eye Chakras to bring positive energy to those areas. Enhances communication and allows users to enjoy greater joy and appreciation in life. This specimen is from my 1970’s gem and mineral collection growing up.
