Some claim geranium oil is beneficial to reduce acne breakouts, skin irritations, and skin infections.   It is said to help with leg and foot swelling caused by edema, help with nasal vestibulitis, bacterial infections, neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Some say it might help women experiencing reduced estrogen and health-related symptoms caused by menopause and perimenopause. It is said to promote relaxation and alleviate stress, depressive, and anxiety moods. The oil is also used by some for temporary relief from shingles pain, reduce itching caused by allergic reactions, stopping minor wounds from bleeding by speeding up coagulations, and causing blood vessels to contract with antibacterial and antiseptic properties. In Tunisia, it is a folk remedy for hyperglycemia, although modern science says it should not be consumed internally.
